One beautiful district in Himachal is Kinnaur. It is the second least populated area in Himachal after Lahaul and Spiti. It is the last village of India and lies on the Indo-Tibet Border. It is famous for its mountain peak Kinnaur Kailash. It is close to the mountain ranges of Himalayas. The mountains are fully covered with thick woods and orchards. It lies on the banks of the Sutlej river. The three main areas near to this place, which can be a tourist spot, are Sangla Valley, Kamru, and Chitkul. It is famous for the beautiful landscape in the entire district. The various temple is even located here having a historical background famously known as Badrinath Temple, Kamakhya Temple. There are lots of camping sites available near to the place Chitkul were many campers visit and people driving to this place in bikes.
Here is the detailed Itinerary of seven days:
Day 01: ~ Transfer From Delhi to Shimla(370 Kms,7-8 hours)
After you arrive from the respective locations, your ride will start from Delhi and will end at Shimla. Then the Overnight stay well is at Hotel in Shimla.
Day 02: ~ Transfer From Shimla to Sangla
Today after breakfast, we will visit the legendary temple of Bhimakali at Sarahan, The temple of human sacrifices which were made about two centuries ago. Next, after the temple, we will proceed driving to Sangla, which will take 4-5 hrs, then there will be check-in at your hotel. Then there is an option for fixed luxury tented accommodation. After lunch, our representative will take you on a walk through Kamru and Sangla villages 1-2 hrs drive, and we will tour the exquisitely created old temples and Buddhist monasteries. Know the local people and culture of these valleys. This famous valley is known as the Baspa Sangla valley, after river Baspa which flows, which is a part of Kinnaur valley. Then your stay will be at the hotel in Sangla.
Day 03:~ Local Sightseeing of Chitkul Sangla Valley
After breakfast, we will go to Sangla, Kamru village, and make a short walk to tour Kamru Fort, which has a stupa dedicated to Kamakshi Devi. It is a populous village, located on the right bank of the Baspa River, at an elevation of 2621 m above the sea level and falls at a distance of 17 km from Karcham. It is intensified on a slope with the house rising one above the other, the scene being closed by the gigantic Raldang Peaks towering behind. The next stop will be Chitkul, which is a village in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border. The Indian road ends here. The Baspa valley is the prettiest in the Himalayas. Its terrain and green vegetation on the slopes are not very steep. A populous village situated on the right bank of the Baspa is built on a hill with the best views of gigantic Kinner Kailash peak domination the scene. Today's night stay will be at Sangla.
Day 04: ~ Sangla to Kalpa 2,758 metres / 9,048 feet (40 km/ 2-3 hrs)
After morning meal today, our representative will drive you to Kalpa village a 2-3 hrs long drive. Then we will stop by at Recongpeo in between, which is yet another famous place. It is the district headquarters of Kinnaur district. Here you will have lunch in a local restaurant where you experience Indian or Tibetian food. After lunch, we will ride to Kalpa, which is 7 kms away. Then you will check in to your hotel. In the evening you can travel to the Kalpa Valley, then Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kalpa.
Day 05: ~ Kalpa Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, we will visit the Kalpa village and the nearby Roghi village. These villages are treated with dense pine forests famous for apricots and apples. The most beautiful view of the Mt. Kinner Kailash Mountain can be seen from here. This is a magnificent scene early in the morning as the growing sun reaches the snowy peaks with crimson and gold light. Kalpa is established at an altitude of 2759 m from the sea level, on the old Hindustan Tibet Road at a distance of 260 km from Shimla. Earlier it was the District Headquarter of Kinnaur. It is for 14 KMS. It has all the features of a heritage village. Kalpa came into influence in the wake of British Governor-General Lord Dalhousie's visit in the 19th century overnight visit the same hotel at Kalpa Valley.
Day 06: ~ Transfer From Kalpa to Shimla
On the second last day of the trip, you will Checkout from the hotel and will proceed to Shimla. On the way to Shimla, you can magnificent hills and the fantastic Sightseeing of Narkanda. Overnight will be at the hotel in Shimla. Here you can enjoy the evening walks on the mall road.
Day 07: ~ Shimla-Delhi (370 Kms,7-84 Hours)
Adios to this fantastic journey of mountains on the seven the day of the trip. In the morning after breakfast, we will head from Shimla and drop you at Delhi. End of memorable tour and services.
